Mary has over 25 years of experience in Sports Medicine. She began her movement lessons at the age of 4. Her father, World Champion in Judo, US Olympic coach and 10th degree black belt. Mary also earned her black belts. She also studied dance for 16 years. Mary studied Rolfing and Pilates with Ms. Sarah Bowen and these methods of healing are still central to her Sports Medicine Clinics. She studied Athletic Training and Kinesiology at the University of Pittsburgh. Mary has continued her education every year and training and or certifications in Rolfing, Pilates (1000 hours) Yoga (500 hours), Neurological training (1200 hours) and developed a course in Corrective Exercise that she taught to Physical Therapists at U Michigan, UVA, U Pittsburgh and USA Gymnastics.

Realigning and Rebalancing your Spine and Joints from toes to head
The Ten Series of ALIGN is the culmination of my education and experience for the past 25 years treating chronic pain and enhancing sports performance (ie enhanced mobility).
ALIGN combines Deep Manual Therapy, Joint Mobilization, Corrective Exercise and Neurology. I will start working your body from the ground up to the crown. Each session is 100-120 minutes. I have designed ALIGN to strategically rebalance the structural integrity of your body. This strategy includes rebalance, mobilizing and finding the balance of strength and mobility in each joint in your body. This will help the muscles fire at full capacity while reducing stress on the overworked, overused muscles and activate other dormant muscles..
Integration of your new found structure is key to every phase. I recommend that you do one session per week or 2 times per week. If there is an area that needs more than one session, we will add 1 hour to your ALIGN Series before we move onto the next. I want to reintroduce you to your most functional movement possibilities.
Sessions
ALIGN 1:Starting with your feet, I will work to realign your feet, ankles and Knees, These parts interact with gravity and your gait the most.
ALIGN 2: Starting with Hip flexion, hip extension, hip abduction and adduction (basic and essential movements).
ALIGN 3: Lumbar Spine and Pelvis including spinal decompression, SI Joints, Pelvic Floor and hip rotators including Piriformis.
ALIGN 4: Anterior Pelvis including Psoas, Inguinal Ligaments and the abdominals
ALIGN 5: Rib Cage combing through each rib in the front back and sides. This helps with breathing and lung capacity.
ALIGN 6: Scapula and posterior rotator cuff muscles.
ALIGN 7: Shoulders including all rotator cuff muscles, arms and hands
ALIGN 8: Cervical Spine Alignment
ALIGN 9: Neck and first and second posterior ribs
ALIGN 10 Integration Session with your visual, vestibular and proprioceptive maps of your brain.
